Responsibilities
- Insurance Verification & Patient Charts: Verify insurance benefits for patients and create patient charts.
- Patient Reception: Welcome patients to our office for their eye care appointments with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Appointment Scheduling: Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments efficiently.
- Electronic Health Records: Enter patient information into our electronic health records system accurately.
- Patient Assistance: Answer patient questions and direct them to the clinic or optical for eyeglasses.
- Payment Processing: Receive payments for services and products using a credit card terminal.
- Contact Lens Ordering: Order contact lenses for patients.
- Office Navigation: Direct patients through the office and assist with the flow of appointments.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years prior optical experience preferred, but not required.
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to multitask.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Interest in healthcare.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must present a professional appearance.
