Responsibilities

Optician job responsibilities include:

  • Help patients select frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and budget
  • Educate patients on eyewear and lens options
  • Take measurements to ensure proper fit and vision (training provided)
  • Place and track eyewear orders
  • Dispense, adjust, and perform minor repairs on eyewear
  • Verify insurance and vision benefits when applicable
  • Maintain an organized and attractive optical showroom
  • Work closely with doctors and staff to provide an excellent patient experience
  • Answer patient questions and resolve concerns professionally
  • Accurately document information in our computer systems

Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
