Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients, check patients in and out for appointments
- Manage appointment scheduling, ensure smooth flow
- Gather medical history and reason for visit
- Verify insurance benefits for each patient
- Answer and forward all calls; oversee voicemails and text messages
- Maintain organized and accurate patient records and office documentation
- Support office workflow by collaborating with doctors, technicians, and optical staff
Skills & Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience in Front Desk, Optometry Service, or Insurance Verification
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency in office software and scheduling systems (EHR experience is a plus)
- A positive, team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Leadership qualities and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities
