Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership and support to clinical and administrative staff.
  • Execute payroll processing accurately and efficiently 
  • Training the team on new processes and procedures
  • Reconciling monthly statements, accounts payable
  • Making hiring decisions, finding people with the right skills, values and abilities that fit well within our company culture
  • Team reviews and improvement plans 
  • Oversee scheduling, patient flow, and office efficiency.
  • Step in to assist with both clinical and optical duties when needed.
  • Monitor practice performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and company policies.
  • Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Collaborate with doctors and regional manager to achieve practice goals and deliver excellent patient care.
  • Handle patient concerns and ensure a high level of service.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and practice documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • If no prior optometry experience: management or leadership experience required (healthcare setting preferred).
  • If you have strong optometry or optical experience: We are willing to provide training into a management role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of medical billing, insurance, and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Proficiency with office software 
  • Ability to motivate and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and assist with both clinical and optical functions.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include:

  • Greet patients; check patients in and out as needed
  • Schedule patient appointments; ensure smooth flow
  • Gather medical history and reason for the visit
  • Explaining insurance benefits to patients 
  • Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
  • Complete diagnostic testing and necessary documentation
  • Prepare patients to be seen by the Optometrist
  • Assist the Optometrist as needed during examinations
  • Show patients how to properly care for contact lens/ trainings 
  • Contact lens ordering
  • Solving problems and resolving conflict 
  • Providing direction and guidance 

Hours required for this position:

  • Monday 8:30am-5:30 pm
  • Tuesday 9:30am-7pm
  • Wednesday 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm
  • Friday 8:00am-3:30pm 

Skills & Qualifications

Clinical Technician required skills & qualifications include:

  • Must be able to maintain a professional attitude and be reliable 
  • The ability to connect and communicate well with patients
  • Skilled communicator – written and verbal
  • Able to multitask, manage time wisely; detail-oriented
  • Team-player with a positive attitude
  • Able to work as a team and independently
