Responsibilities
Travel between clinic locations to support patient flow and coverage
Use your CNA‑developed patient communication skills to obtain histories and guide patients through testing
Assist with pre‑testing and diagnostic imaging (OCT, Retinal Photography, Visual Fields)
Provide hands‑on patient education, including contact lens training
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms—no heavy lifting required
Support clinical teams by bringing consistency and calm to fast‑paced environments
Represent VCC’s culture of compassion and professionalism at all locations
Skills & Qualifications
CNA experience working directly with patients
Strong communication skills and comfort in medical environments
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and clinic locations
Tech‑friendly and willing to learn diagnostic equipment
Organized, efficient, and calm under pressure
Computer literacy and familiarity with medical charting
Desire to transition into a medical specialty with no lifting, no nights, and no physically strenuous tasks
Optical or optometric experience is a plus, but full training is provided
