In this position, your skills and efficiency will be greatly appreciated by your customers as you guide them through the process of optical testing to determine their visual abilities followed by helping them make important decisions about the various types of eyewear available to them. Regardless of your level of optical experience — some or none at all — you can rest assured that you will receive the training you need to be a successful Optometric Technician aka Medical Assistant. Monday-Friday NO WEEKENDS!!!!! (in the summer we close at 2ish on Fridays so that the staff can live a happy healthy fulfilled summer)

Responsibilities
- Patient Care Rockstar: Greet and assist patients with a smile, making them feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment they step through the door.
- Vital Signs Virtuoso: Accurately measure and record vital signs, ensuring our patients are in tip-top shape.
- Clinical Support Superhero: Assist our physicians variety of clinical tasks, including administering injections, drawing blood, and preparing patients for exams.
- Master Organizer: Keep our medical office running like a well-oiled machine by managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and handling phone calls with ease.
- Educator Extraordinaire: Provide patients with important information about their treatments, medications, and follow-up care in a way that’s easy to understand.
- Team Player: Collaborate with our amazing team to ensure every patient receives top-notch care and service.
Skills & Qualifications
- People Person: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must – you love interacting with patients and colleagues alike.
- Detail-Oriented Dynamo: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to keep everything on track.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer tasks.
- Compassionate Caregiver: A genuine desire to help others and provide compassionate care.
- Multitasking Master: Ability to juggle multiple tasks with a smile, staying cool and collected under pressure.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus, but we’re also excited to train the right enthusiastic candidate!
