Pay: Starting at $16.00-$17.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients, check patients in and out
  • Schedule patient appointments; ensure smooth flow
  • Gather medical history and reason for the visit
  • Verify insurance information for each patient
  • Answer and forward all calls; oversee voicemail and messages
  • Prepare patients to be seen by the Optometrist
  • Assist the Optometrist as needed during examinations
  • Show patients how to properly care for contact lens

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have 6+ months of prior experience in an Optometry, Ophthalmology, or Medical Office setting.
  • Reliable and dependable with a strong attendance record and commitment to punctuality.
  • Friendly and outgoing with the ability to build rapport and connect with a diverse group of patients and team members.
  • Efficient, organized, and resourceful with excellent time-management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledgeable in computer operations; proficient in basic word processing, data entry, and electronic medical records systems.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, follow through on responsibilities, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
