Pay: Starting at $16.00-$17.50 per hour, depending on experience.

Position Overview:
The Front Office Coordinator is the first point of contact for our patients — you set the tone for the entire visit. You’ll handle scheduling, patient check-ins and check-outs, insurance verification, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere

  • Check patients in and out efficiently and accurately

  • Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure smooth office flow

  • Gather patient medical history and reason for visit

  • Verify insurance information for each patient

  • Answer and direct phone calls; manage voicemail and messages

  • Monitor office email and fax communications

  • Prepare patients for their appointments with the Optometrist

  • Assist the Optometrist and team as needed during examinations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have 6+ months prior experience in an Optometry, Ophthalmology or Medical office practice
  • Friendly and outgoing with the ability to connect with a diverse group of people
  • Efficient, organized and resourceful with strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of computer operations; proficient in basic word processing, data entry and automated records
