Eyecare Associates of Kuna is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Clinical Technician to join our growing practice. This is a fast-paced position where you’ll work directly with patients, assist our doctors in providing exceptional eye care, and help ensure our clinic runs smoothly.
While your primary responsibilities will be clinical, our team works together to provide an outstanding patient experience. You will occasionally assist at the front desk by greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and helping with patient flow as needed.
No previous optometry experience? No problem! We are happy to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude, enjoys helping others, and thrives in a team environment.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm and Friday 8am-3:30pm
Responsibilities
Front Desk Receptionist job responsibilities include:
- Greet patients promptly and professionally while creating a positive first impression
- Check patients in and out accurately, including verifying demographics and insurance information
- Schedule appointments
- Collect copays, payments, and balances
- Escort patients through the pre-testing process in a friendly and professional manner
- Obtain and document accurate patient history, chief complaint, medications, and relevant health information
- Assist with contact lens trainings and education
- Prepare exam rooms, sanitize equipment, and maintain clinical cleanliness standards
- Support the provider during clinic flow by communicating patient needs and ensuring efficient room turnover
- Special testing (Visual Fields, OCT, ERG etc.)
- Educate patients on basic eye health topics, procedures, and follow-up instructions
- Contact lens ordering
Skills & Qualifications
Front Desk Receptionist required skills & qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred (optometry/ophthalmology a plus)
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, friendly, and patient-centered attitude
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
- Comfortable using computers, scheduling systems, and learning EHR software
- Strong time management skills and reliability (attendance and punctuality are a must)
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy clinic times
