Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include:
- Greet patients; check patients in and out as needed
- Schedule patient appointments; ensure smooth flow
- Gather medical history and reason for the visit
- Explaining insurance benefits to patients
- Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
- Complete diagnostic testing and necessary documentation
- Prepare patients to be seen by the Optometrist
- Assist the Optometrist as needed during examinations
- Show patients how to properly care for contact lens/ trainings
- Contact lens ordering
- Solving problems and resolving conflict
- Providing direction and guidance
Hours required for this position:
- Monday 8:30am-5:30 pm
- Tuesday 9:30am-7pm
- Wednesday 8:30am-5:30pm
- Thursday 8:30am-5:30pm
- Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
Skills & Qualifications
Clinical Technician required skills & qualifications include:
- Must be able to maintain a professional attitude and be reliable
- The ability to connect and communicate well with patients
- Skilled communicator – written and verbal
- Able to multitask, manage time wisely; detail-oriented
- Team-player with a positive attitude
- Able to work as a team and independently
- High school diploma or GED- REQUIRED
