will have a preference. Those who have done any type of learning therapy or brain
training or neuro-rehabilitative therapy will also have a preference. The job entails
helping patients who have vision-related learning problems, or patients who have

vision problems after a stroke or brain injury. The job is very similar to the work
done by occupational therapy assistants.
Our practice is made up of a team of talented and caring people who love people
and love helping our patients improve their lives with better vision. Our doctors
specialize in helping patients regain function in their lives and work closely with
our therapists to collaborate in making patients better. We treat both adults and
children through 45-minute sessions once a week or twice a week.
The therapists’ coach patients through activities that teach patients how to better
use their eyes and integrate their brain and eyes. We provide on-the-job training
and opportunities for further education and certification. We would love to share

Responsibilities

Provide vision therapy services to patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Work one-on-one with patients of all ages (the majority are school-aged children).
Complete session record notes for each patient.
Work closely with the optometrists and other vision therapists to maintain a high level of patient care.
Administer, grade, and input scores from visual processing evaluations.
Communicate home activities changes and plans with patients and parents.
Maintain clean and professional vision therapy room and clinic.

Skills & Qualifications

Must be:

  • Mature, calm, organized
  • Must enjoy working with patients of all shapes and sizes: children, adults, special population patients including autism and brain injury
  • Quick-learner must be able to learn vision therapy techniques and procedures
  • Great at time management and completing tasks on-time
  • Reliable and independent
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work well with the doctor and vision therapist team in a collaborative environment
  • Able to think analytically
  • Detail-oriented

Pay range $20-$30 DOE 

Type: Full Time (Hourly)
