Lead Optician Job – Nampa, ID

Eyecare Associates of Nampa and Kuna is seeking a full-time Lead Optician. The ideal person must be able to work with our large patient base and deliver quality optical care and outstanding, friendly customer service. You must be able to assist patients with eyeglass fittings, eyewear testing, and other optical dispensing. You must also possess strong sales skills by demonstrating a high level of knowledge about our products and determining our patients’ needs for eyewear so you can recommend specific accessories or enhancements for glasses.
This individual will work with management to ensure the efficiency of patient care and business operations while providing clinical support and training to other team members. We are excited to add to our current leadership team! 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent sales and communication skills to assist patients with selecting the proper ophthalmic frame and lens selection to maximize their visual performance and to consistently meet departmental goals
  • Strong leadership and training experience to motivate staff to meet or exceed company procedures, policies, and goals
  • Make recommendations to management for increased efficiency, better team morale and improved patient experience
  • Ability to manage day-to-day operations and generate monthly reports for management
  • Submitting glasses orders
  • Work with patients in adjusting and repairing eyeglasses
  • Submitting glasses orders in a timely manner and following up with orders
  • Excellent customer service skills to include the handling of unsatisfied or disgruntled patients
  • Work with management to ensure the efficient patient care and business operations
  • Provide clinical support and training to other team members
  • Spending time at both our Nampa and Kuna office

Proven customer service skills
Strong sales ability
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Computer literate
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of frame board and ophthalmic lens inventory management
Knowledge of ophthalmic lens and frame sales
Knowledge of basic financial management
Ability to train and motivate other optical team members

  • Mon,Wed,Thur 8:30am-5:30pm Tue: rotates every other week- 8:30am-5:30pm or 9:30-7pm Friday: 8am-3:30pm
  • Day shift
  • No weekends

Compensation: DOE
